The mention of one final plague in Exodus 11 demonstrates clearly that God is Who He claims to be. Verse 1 says, “Now the LORD said to Moses, ‘One more plague I will bring on Pharaoh and on Egypt; after that he will let you go from here.'” The Lord will get glory through the Exodus. He has been increasing the plagues in intensity up until this point, the death of the firstborn. Each plague has challenged the power of a god or goddess of Egypt, and this final plague deals an incredible blow against Pharaoh himself. Pharaoh, after all, was considered a god. His son was supposed to continue the royal line as the next manifestation of the god. But Pharaoh cannot stop this plague. Only the LORD is the true God, and He protects His people.
