Sometimes things don’t go exactly as we imagine them going. Moses found this out when he followed God’s call and asked Pharaoh to let the Israelites go worship God. But Pharaoh scoffed at this request. He did not recognize the authority of Moses, who was acting for God. Instead of fearing God, Pharaoh increased the labor required of the children of Israel. The people complained and raged against Moses. Even Moses doubted why God has asked him to do this. But God is faithful. We must trust and hope in Him and His promises, looking to Him alone for the provision of the Good.
