The prologue of John (John 1:1–18) introduces many of the rich theological themes and topics of this gospel. Jesus is the Word. He is God in the flesh Who spoke all things into being. Light and life are in Him. John the Baptist testified of Him, and many rejected Him, but those who receive Him become children of God. These themes will be repeated throughout the Gospel as John records Jesus’ interactions with three primary groups: the crowds, the Jews, and His disciples. A resounding question comes to the fore for those who encounter Jesus: Who is He? As we encounter Jesus through the pages of this Gospel, the question is very much the same for us. Who do you say He is?

This session is part 48 of the 365 Key Chapters of the Bible series, based on Ken’s Handbook to Scripture.
