Last week, we talked about the barriers to evangelism for believers. There are also barriers for unbelievers. These relate to the emotions, intellect, and will. On the emotional side, many people have had bad experiences with Christians. These painful encounters lead them away from Christianity. Others reject Jesus because they think belief in God is irrational. They don’t believe that Christianity explains the way the world is. Some people may accept the emotional and intellectual side of Christianity. But they love their sin more than God, and so choose themselves over submitting to Jesus.
