Question: How does God’s Word answer the common claim “once saved always saved”?

Salvation is a free gift that cannot be paid for, earned, or maintained. Eternal life knows no limits, and once a person has received the life of Christ, the Scriptures are abundantly clear that no force or person can remove it from him or her. Some have argued from a few debated passages that salvation can be lost, but a closer analysis of these passages in their contexts reveals that they do not conflict with the clear testimony of the rest of Scripture.
