We all have a need for security, significance, and satisfaction. But searching for these in people, possessions, or position will never be enough. Only in Christ do we find all we need.
“Image is everything.” We have often heard this, and for the sake of a photograph, it is true. But when it comes to reality, if there is a gap between the image and what is behind the image, then that image is simply a façade.
Did you know that, as a Christian, you are in constant conflict? Every moment presents a choice to lead a Spirit-directed life or to succumb to the wiles of the enemy and his temptations. When we have a warrior mindset, setting our minds on Christ, we will have the victory.
It is possible to be alive and yet never really live. If you never ask the right questions about your purpose, you will go through life as if in a catatonic state. But living with the end in mind is a reminder to look to Christ.
"If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit" (Galatians 5:25 NASB95). One mark of the disciple is depending on the power of the Holy Spirit.
