Which events or individuals come to mind as those that changed the course of human history? You might think of people like Alexander the Great or Martin Luther, or of events such as the fall of Rome, the Protestant Reformation, or the two World Wars. However, none of these near the importance of the birth of our Lord Jesus. Everything hinges on this one person, the God-man, who entered human history and changed everything forever. Indeed, his incarnation (becoming flesh and dwelling among us) is one of the most mysterious and astounding aspects of the Christian faith.
