Ken Boa’s 52 Greatest Stories of the Bible series continues with Genesis 12, in which we learn how God did the impossible through a “random nobody who lived in the middle of nowhere.”[note]In Boa and John Alan Turner, The 52 Greatest Stories of the Bible (Grand Rapids, MI: BakerBooks, 2008), 32.[/note] That “nobody,” of course, was Abram (later renamed Abraham), whose descendants eventually became a great nation that blessed the entire world (principally, through the person of Jesus Christ).
