Is Jesus the basis for your being made right before God, or is He not? So often we try to add to the gospel. We feel like we need to do something to earn God’s favor and forgiveness. However, the gospel of Jesus plus “fill-in-the-blank” is no gospel at all. We are saved by grace through faith and not by works.
