The 52 Greatest Stories of the Bible (Story #7): Conquest (Joshua 1–6)

By No Comments1 min read

After an overview of Deuteronomy for context, Ken Boa teaches on the conquest of Canaan, described in the first six chapters of the book of Joshua. That conquest was not to be achieved in the Israelites’ own power but in God’s power. The same God who brought them out of bondage in Egypt was the same God who was with them in the wilderness; He would be their God in their new home as well—because He’s the God of everything, not just a local or regional god as the Canaanites (and others in that day) believed in.

Focus text: Joshua 1–6
