This presentation was also given to the Wednesday morning study group.

George Herbert was one of the great English poets whose work speaks to us, even now, as believers on our pilgrimage to our heavenly home. Our earthly journey is full of peaks and valleys, triumphs and joys, fortune and adversity. These things introduce in us spiritual conflicts as we seek to navigate the trails of life. We are simultaneously drawn to our eternal home, but pulled by earthly concerns and prospects. Consider these poems as you reflect on your life and your fundamental need for the LORD.
