The apostle Paul displays an amazing concern for Christians in his numerous letters. Previously a zealous persecutor of the Christian church, he encountered Jesus and was converted. He then directed his passion toward the cause of Christ. Paul crafted his message in a way that met people where they were. As he writes, “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some” (1 Corinthians 9:22). He wrote much about freedom–freedom from the law, freedom from sin and death, and freedom to live for Christ through the Spirit. We need to walk in step with the Holy Spirit, abiding in Christ, so that we will manifest this freedom.
